Your Visit and How It Works

At High Street Natural Health your health and wellbeing is our priority. Here is some information about how your first session with Aurora might look like.

Consultation

We start the consultation with a discussion about your face and the skin concerns and Aurora will assess your skin and facial muscles. She will explain the findings and following procedure in details. Feel free to ask any questions at any time.

Aurora will also assess your overall health through questions, feeling your pulse and looking at your tongue. She will be looking for signs of imbalance or general health concerns which might contribute to the condition of your skin and appearance.

Afterwards a treatment plan will be discussed with you so you know how many treatments are recommended to achieve your desired results.

Treatment

Every treatment session is individual. Depending on your needs, different acupuncture points are stimulated by inserting very fine needles. Usually they are left in for about 20-30 minutes. During this time the lights are turned off and you are left to relax and have a little rest.

HOW IT WORKS

The 3 Methods

Lift and Tone

Needles are inserted into motor points of the face to target the muscles in your face. Through the natural response of your body tense muscles will relax and loose muslces will tighten. This gives your face a more lifted appearance.

Firm and Tighten

To increase collagen and elastin production needles are inserted into points of the face that need them the most. The body will naturally send a healing response which will soften lines and make the skin look and feel firmer.

Circulate and Balance

The acupuncture points are chosen specifically to increase blood ciruclation which makes your skin look fresh and youthful. Underlying health issues that are the root cause of your skin problems are addressed and treated naturally.

Week 1 & 2

First results are already noticeable within 1-2 weeks. Your skin will look and feel softer and get a natural, healthy glow. Most clients say their skin feels more hydrated after the first session already. This is due to the increased blood flow through the face and skin during facial acupuncture. This will also make you feel refreshed and give your face a bright complexion.

Week 3 & 4

At about 3 to 4 weeks your muscles will look lifted and tighter. Your skin feels softer and the look of bigger pores diminishes. You will experience increased hydration of the skin. Fine lines are beginning to soften and your face looks smoother.

Week 5, 6 & 7

After 5 – 7 weeks of getting Cosmetic Acupuncture you can see the results of the boost in collagen and elastin. Your skin will feel a lot tighter and lines have started to soften. Your facial muscles will feel lifted and overall your face looks and feels plumper.

Week 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12

You can expect the most significant changes to happen between 8 – 12 weeks of treatment. Your face continues to feel firmer and look smoother and brighter. Your complexion is smooth with smaller pores and less redness. Lines will have softened and your skin looks plump and hydrated.
