Most people think hemp and marijuana are the only plants that contain cannabinoids. But it turns out, cannabinoid-like compounds are found in a variety of plants. These compounds are often referred as Phytocannabinoids.
What is the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?
The Endocannabinoid System is an internal system of cannabinoid receptors that humans (and nearly all animals) have. The ECS involved in many processes such as: pain sensation, appetite, memory and mood.
Phytocannabinoids and the ECS
Current research shows that some of the phytocannabinoids in Helichrysum, cacao and black pepper for example, can support the ECS to promote relaxation, decrease nerve discomfort, and improve digestive health.
The phytocannabinoids don’t have the mind-altering effects of THC (found in Marijuana), therefore more people are likely to turn to phytocannabinoids to obtain these health benefits without getting high.
Plants that contain Phytocannabinoids:

CACAO
Theobroma cacao
Cacao means ‘ food of the gods’, it is a superfood originated from Mexico. Cacao contains several chemicals such as theobromine, phenylethylamine, tryptophan, and anandamide. Cacao is rich in anandamide, an endocannabinoid that is naturally produced in the human brain. Anandamide regulates mood, memory, appetite, and pain perception and is known as the “bliss” molecule because it causes a ‘feel good’ effect when released. Cacao is also high in antioxidants and has many cardiovascular health benefits.
In order to get the cacao’s full health benefits, it’s important to source raw, organic, fair-trade cacao — not processed or milk chocolate.

EVERLASTING FLOWER
Helichrysum stoechas
Most often used as an antidepressant and mood stabiliser, helichrysum contains large amounts of cannabigerol (CBG), a phytocannabinoid found in the cannabis plant.
CBG has strong potential for treating depression and other mood disturbances and also has potent anti-inflammatory properties.

ECHINACEA
Echinacea purpurea
Commonly used for its immune enhancing effects. Echinacea also works on the endocannabinoid system (the CB1-2 receptors) with cannabimimetics instead of cannabinoids. This is why echinacea helps relieve anxiety, migraines, fatigue and arthritis.
The N-Alkyl amides found in echinacea are very similar to THC in the way they regulate pain, inflammation and the immune system.

continuously i used to read smaller articles that also clear their motive, and that is also happening with this paragraph which I am reading at this time.| Jerrie Ring Lenwood
